Team 2090, otherwise known as the Buff 'n Blue, is the Punahou School FIRST Robotics Competition team, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Founded in 2007, Team 2090 was one of the first FIRST Robotics Competition teams in the state of Hawaii. Our team strives to uphold the values of our school: celebrating diversity, inspiring excellence and connecting students. Our team hosts a variety of students from different schools, not only from our own. By cultivating a unique culture of mentorship, older students mentor younger ones in order to inspire a continuation of excellence.
Our fabrication team works dilligently to prototype designs, test them, design them in computer-aided design software, and build them on the competition robot.
Our systems team creates the electronics used on the robots, to power pneumatics as well as electric motors and servos.
Our programming team develops software for the robot. We use LabView for our code.
Our documentation team works hard to record the daily happenings of team 2090. Along with that, we also run the social media content such as this blog and our youtube channel, awards such as Chairman’s and the animation award.
